Yum, I love this recipe. I made it twice and second time adjusted to our taste a bit more. Half sugar (used raw sugar only 50g and ground 5 seconds speed 10 and put aside with the ground almond) 100 grams unsalted butter, 40grams golden syrup and added extra 30 grams hot water to compensate for less butter and golden syrup. Perfect for us as we like things less sweet.

Great recipe. I too used quinoa flakes instead of oats and halved the chocolate after having made this with full amount found it cracked on cutting...aesthetically not as appealing for that reason. Doesn't take away from overall finished flavour and taste, yummy.

It was very easy and tastes yummy. I too had trouble with the melts!  Haven't had this trouble in me crow age with them, but in the Thermi it wasn't smooth, even putting it on another two minutes. Oh well, still yum.

Have just made this - looks delicious. Used the basic version & topped it with the chocolate - I'm just wondering what size tin are you supposed to use?

Wow sooo good!! I used the almond and dates version , and 200g of chocolate, might try substituting the butter with organic coconut oil next time, anyone tried that yet? Thank you for a great recipe !!

    cheers Michelle  Cooking 7
