Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 170C (160C fan-forced). Lightly grease 20cm x 20cm brownie pan and line with baking paper.

  2. Add butter and chocolate. Melt on speed 1 at 80C for 3 minutues or until well combined and melted.  Cool for 2 minutes uncovered.

  3. Add cocoa, sugar and eggs.  Mix on speed 4 for 3 minutes.  Add flour, white choc bits and walnuts (if adding).  Mix on speed 4 for 30 seconds.  Scrape down sides of bowl and mix for a further 30 seconds on speed 3.

  4. Pour mixture into prepared pan and smooth.  Bake for 35 minutes or until skewer inserterd comes out clean.  Cool in pan, cut into squares and serve.

Tip

I tend to make these for Miss 6 without with the walnuts, but for adults add them for extra texture.  I serve with cream and a dusting of icing sugar.

Mmmm these are to die for. I didn't read the instructions thoroughly so made the first lot with all the chocolate in together ... had to cook for about 50 minutes. The second lot I added the white chocolate as instructed; still had to cook for about 47 minutes. SO DELICIOUS. Thanks for posting!
