- 30 g weet-bix (approx 2 weet-bix)
- 20 g carob powder
- 170 g plain flour
- 125 g brown sugar, see tips

Pre-heat oven to 180°CPlace butter or substitute in TM bowl and melt for 2 minutes at 60°C on speed 4Add remaining ingredients and mix for 30 seconds on speed 5Scrape down the sides of the bowlMix on speed 3-4 for a further 30 seconds or until all the ingredients are combinedRoll teaspoonfuls of mixture into balls and place on baking trayBake for 15 minutes in pre-heated ovenAllow to cool
Tip
I keep the crushed weet-bix left in the bottom of the packet in a container and use this when I want to make this recipe
So far I have decreased the sugar to 60g and they still taste fine

I had forgotten all about this recipe and your comment brought it up again. I made them today - they cooked for 15 minutes fine but I ran out of brown sugar so only put in about 3/4 of the amount. They tasted great. I will definitely decrease the sugar by more next time to see how low I can get it.

Thanks for this recipe. This is the first carob thing I've enjoyed. For anyone who hasn't tasted it, don't expect it to taste the same as cacao. I used 70g weetbix as that is what I needed to use up, so reduced flour to 130g. Had to take out of oven after ten mins as they were losing shape but taste oh so delicious. I wouldn't make any other changes though might reduce sugar if giving to kids more regularly. I also kept a couple aside and refrigerated instead and they were great as bliss balls. Thankyou again.
