Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Place water, sugar, butter, cocoa powder and soda into the TMB
    10m 90c Sp2

    2. Allow to cool 😎 I usually remove from the bowl to move this along. While this is cooling grease cake tin 26.5cm x 33cm, (14 cup/3.5 litre) and preheat oven to 160c.

    3. Return cooled chocolate ingredients back to TMB add SR flour and eggs. 30s Sp4 scrap down sides and repeat until ingredients are mixed well.

    4. Transfer cake batter to cake tin and cook for 45-50mins

    5. While cake is cooking wash dry TMB. Add butter, water and sugar. 7mins 100c SP 2.

    6. Add icing sugar and cocoa powder 20s SP4 scrap down sides and repeat.

    7. Transfer into a bowl and place into the fridge until fudge sets approx 20 mins. Using a wooden spoon mix fudge until it becomes soft to spread onto the cake.

    8. Ice cake once it is cold 🥶

Notes, wait to tip cake out of tin for about 10mins. Make sure you’re not tempted to ice cake until it is cold or frosting will melt.

Tip

Note leave cake in tin for at least 10 minutes before removing. Make sure you wait for cake to be completely cool until you ice it or the fudge frosting will melt.

Thermomix Model

    Recipe is created for
    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
