Ingredients
- 1 can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
- 180 grams Natural Peanut Butter, smooth or crunchy
- 90 grams Raw Honey, (or agave)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract or essence
- 90 grams good quality dark chocolate
- 1 pinch sea salt, (if your pb doesn't have any in it)

Preheat your oven to 350°F / 175°C.
Combine all the ingredients, except for the chocolate chips 20-30secs/spd 5. Make sure to scrape the sides and the top to get the little chunks of chickpeas and mix again for a few secs if necessary. If you use chunky peanut butter or would like a smoother mix, simply mix for a bit longer.
Put in the chocolate chips and mix for a further 10 secs, or pulse it once or twice. The mixture will be very thick and sticky.
With wet hands, form into 1 1/2″ balls. Place onto a piece of parchment paper. If you want them to look more like normal cookies, press down slightly on the balls. They don’t do much rising. Bake for about 10-15 minutes.
Yields about fourteen 1 1/2″ cookie dough balls.
** Don't even try with regular peanut butter! They'll come out oily. You MUST use natural peanut butter

I made this today, kept to the recipe (I used a natural organic Peanut butter from the health food store), it was perfect & Fussy 3 y.o. loved it! I had it in the oven slightly longer (20mns) as I wasn't sure they were cooked (they were very soft when I first got them out, so Iput them back in, not sure if that was necessary afterall), but their hardened as they cooled off. Thank you, great healthy treat
These are so yummy and freeze up well too. I add a bit of coconut flour if the dough is too sticky and it works a treat.
These cookies were amazing and were quickly devoured by my family. I love the use of chickpeas in this recipe and you couldn't taste it at all. I used my own homemade peanut butter and chopped up Lindt 85% dark chocolate instead of using chocolate chips. Thank you for such a quick, easy and tasty recipe.
Amaaaaaaizing, thanks for sharing, my 1yr old loved these. I used cacao nibs instead of normal chocolate the first time which were delicious & the second time used vegan chocolate drops- again delicious.

These cookies are delicious! My 2 1/2 yo loves them, and so do I... you'd never guess that they have no added sugar in them.
I did find the mixture a bit runny, so I suggest adding 2-3 Tbsp plain flour. Im sure you could use gluten free plain flour to keep them gluten free. I just put fuss-free dollops on the baking tray, and they came up slightly crunchy on the outside, and nice and soft on the inside =)
I love this recipe, you would not think it is healthy, tastes so good! I ran out of honey so I substituted with 100% natural maple syrup. I didn't realise in the list of ingredients it says 90g good quality dark chocolate which I bought but when I was making them I could see it meant chocolate chips. So impressed and very easy to make I have stocked up on some chick peas to make more in the future. Thank you to the founder of this recipe
I made these today for my work friends, they loved them and so did I! I will be making them again very soon
Need to try this again as unsure if I undercooked or ate too quickly - very soggy/ wet - HOWEVER, Not one left as flavour fantastic and great to have an easy, yummy GF recipe.
My kids love these...I accidently put the choc chips in when mixing all ingredients but they taste amazing and look great. You wouldn't know they weren't that bad for you. I also made my own peanut butter, just blitzed 200g unsalted peanuts and added 25g peanut oil... perfect!
