YUM! This will be a regular for the lunch boxes.
I used a real mix of leftover cereals... Sultana Bran, Special K, Rice Bubbles, Sustain, Cornflakes, Just Right, Muesli and rolled oats. Halved the amount of sugar. Added Pepitas and sunflower seeds.
Children and husband approved.
Great recipe- also used coconut oil instead of butter, reduced golden syrup added more honey & eliminated sugar all together. Yummmo
This is my go-to lunch box recipe. I use coconut oil instead of butter and a bit less sugar.
Hi 13stafford, I slowly increased to speed 4 as the butter was cold and chunky. Also, did not use golden syup as the pantry fairies were away however 100g of honey worked quite well. Threw in leftover nuts and chocolate chips too! I'll be making these again for sure.
Just made and in the oven, proof will be on Saturday when Imtake them for op shop morning tea. Melted on speed 4. What has everyone else used.
Great Recipe!! I had some Berry Instant Porridge Sachets that the kids were sick of and these went down a treat!! Definitely one to add to my favourites!
my husband and I are slightly addicted to this slice ,yum yum , I tweekit a little, by adding sultanas chocolate and cutting butter back by 20 gms and putting coconut oil in , I finished it off by lemon icing
What kind of cereal did you use?
Super yummy and a great way to use up leftover cereal. Great for lunch boxes for nut free school.
yum!
Fabulous way to use up bits and pieces of cereals that you've got in the pantry! Great budget friendly family recipe!
