Ingredients

  • 4cm piece ginger, peeled
  • 250 g Margarine or Soft Butter
  • 250 g caster sugar
  • 100 g cream
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 500 g flour

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 180 deg

    Place ginger into Closed lid"Closed lid" TM bowl, 3sec speed 7, scrape down sides of bowl

  2. Place all other ingredients into the TM bowl with the ginger.

    Combine 10 sec speed 3Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" , scrape sides of bowl and repeat until necessary until combined.

  3. Place onto floured board or thermomat and form into small sausages (small finger thickness), cut into small nuggets and place on tray with room for spread.

  4. Cook in middle of oven for 7 - 11 minutes (depending on size made) until light brown.

Tip

An easy to eat little morsel

If you like spice increase the ginger or pepper - or try a bit of cayenne!

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.
