Ingredients

220g unsalted butter 1 cup caster sugar 1 tbsp honey 4 eggs 250g plain flour 3 tsp baking powder 80g milk 150g walnuts 55g caster sugar 1 tbsp honey Handful of walnuts

  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 80 grams milk
  • 150 grams walnuts

Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. Remove skin from 2 quince and chop on speed 2 for 30 seconds.

     

    Remove quince from bowl and set aside.

     

    Preheat oven to 200 degrees celsius.

     

    Place butterfly whisk into bowl and mix butter, sugar and honey for 1 minute on speed 2. While this is mixing add eggs one at a time.

     

    Add flour and baking powder to the bowl speed 1 for 1 minute. 

     

    Fold in walnuts and quince.

     

    Grease a round baking tin and add mixture from bowl.

     

    Place in oven for 40 minutes. Test with a wooden skewer before removing from oven.

     

    Place walnuts into bowl speed 4 for 5 seconds. Sprinkle on top of icing to finish cake.
