I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place sultantas and coconut in a large seperate bowl.

Add heaped 1/2 cups of nuts and seeds in the TMX bowl Closed lid"Closed lid" then add honey, melted coconut oil, salt, cinnamon and vanilla powder. Blitz on turbo 1 second and check if chopped to your liking if not then blitz again for 1 second and check again if happy then combined with coconut and sultanas and mix through well.

Spread evenually on to two trays lined with baking paper and bake on a low heat 100deg and check every 10-15mins and move it around on the tray bake until it reaches the desired colour and taste. I bake mine for about 40mins but we all have different ovens so watch it, you know your oven tmrc_emoticons.)

Leave to cool on the trays and I move it around whilst its cooling to avoid large chunks. But you can break up once cooled its upto you.

*I do use heaped cups of the nuts, sultanas and coconut just to bulk it up more, if you are missing any nuts or seeds just adjust to your liking.

I was inspired by a friend who shared a picture of her fabulous granola she makes for her small biz tmrc_emoticons.;)

    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
