Recipe's preparation

    Vintage Chocolate Chip Cookies
  1. The method

Preheat your oven to 190 degrees/170 degrees (fan).  Line two baking trays with non-stick baking paper

  2. Place butter and sugars, egg and vanilla extract into your bowl and mix with the measuring cup on for 2 minutes / speed 3

  3. Add in the flour, bicarb of soda and salt and mix 40 seconds on speed 1.  Add in the chocolate chips and mix with measuring cup on Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation"  for 20 seconds / speed 1.5

  4. Using a teaspoon, place small mounds of the mixture well apart on the baking trays.  Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes until golden brown

  5. Leave on the tray for a couple of minutes to firm up, then transfer to a cooking rack. I hope you enjoy these cookies as much as my familiy and I do as they are crisp on the outside and slightly soft in the centre

Tip

If the dough seems a little soft then put it in the fridge to chill for 15 minutes before spooning onto the baking trays.

    Recipe is created for
    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
