Brazilian Garlic Rice
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/2 portion onion
- 1 tablespoons salt
- 15 gram olive oil
- 350 grams basmati rice, or any other rice you prefer
- 1000 grams water

- Insert simmering basket into mixing bowl and weigh rice into it.
(Take the basket with the rice inside to rinse it. Keep the basket on the side and start the next process.) - Place garlic, onion, olive oil, and salt into the bowl, first blend for 30 seconds/5 speed.
- Scrape the the bowl with the spatula, add the water and cook for another 2 minutes/100C/speed 2.
- Re-insert simmering basket and cook 20 min/100°C/speed 4.
- Transfer rice into a serving dish and serve hot.

You may want to simmer the onions and garlic for longer if desired

For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
