Add nuts Closed lid"Closed lid" turbo-pulse 2 to 3 times.

Add remaining dry ingredients 5 seconds,Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" speed 6 to aerate and combine.

Add buttermilk, egg and syrup 10 seconds, Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" speed 6.

Heat and lightly oil a heavy based non-stick pan or grill plate. Add a tiny bit of butter (approx 1/4 teaspoon) and when this immediatley bubbles and melts without burning, the pan is at the correct temperature.

Drop a large 'glug' of batter from the jug into the pan. When bubbles begin to form on the top of the mixture, flip over to with a spatula. Continue with the remaining batter.

The thermoserver is perfect to keep your pancakes warm while you finish cooking. You should get approx 6 large, thick fluffy pancakes.

Serve hot with a little butter and additional maple syrup, or top with warm berries, grilled or fresh banana, stone fruit etc.

Tip

Leftover pancakes can be quickly reheated in your toaster - great for quick breakfasts!

    gingerchef_jess:
These are intended to be a healthier option and so if you are not used to a low sugar diet they may not be to your taste.
You can add a little white sugar along with the nuts if you like them sweeter.

These were ok, i didn't have walnuts so i used almonds instead. I think next time i would add some fruit or a sweetner for some extra flavour.

These pancakes are delicious! Thanks for sharing.  Cooking 10

I used extra walnuts, blueberries and maple syrup (def real) to top and it was a great combination of flavours.

This goes on the favourites list for sure.
