I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
Whizz up the pumpkin until it looks like a sort of paste.
Add the rest of the ingredients (excluding the water) and combine for a few seconds on speed 3.
Knead on dough setting for 4 minutes... Adding water little by little until you get a dough texture you're happy with.
Shape and place in your jumbo loaf tin*.
Place in a steamy oven to rise. Leave it alone until it reaches the top of the tin.
BAKE for 40-50 MINUTES at 170°C in a FAN-FORCED OVEN FROM COLD.
Remove from the pan immediately after baking and allow to cool down fully before attempting to slice.
*(I made this to fit my mackies jumbo loaf tin...make it 10% smaller to fit a standard loaf size)
Jumbo Pumpkin Bread.
Tip
Use your spatula to encourage the dough to form if needed when adding the water.

My family love this bread. I split the dough into two regular loaf tins and got two nice loaves. Great recipe 👍
This recipe is awesome, I add garlic and onion powder and a bit of salt and it tastes a lot like the Abbotts pumpkin bread!
I made this and it was really good. I also added 1 tsp of salt.
ColleenMuir: excellent! I love making adjustments to recipes. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Does this have a pumkin taste? Or is it like pumpkin scones where as you cant taste the pumpkin?

Thank you Whitehologram for this recipe. It was so easy to make following the instructions. I did however alter the ingredients a little by adding a pinch of salt, substituting dark brown sugar and including the seeds of the butternut pumpkin in the intial pumpkin blend. This gave a little more texture and nutty taste to the bread. I made it in two small loaf tins instead of one large one.
