I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
peel the apples and cut them into slices and put on them the lemon juice to avoid oxidation. Don't throw away the lemon zest.
Grease a cake pan (26 cm) and preheat hoven at 180 degrees celcius.
Put the lemon zest and the sugar into the for 5 sec. at speed 7. Add the eggs, the margarine, the sunflower oil and combine on speed 5 for 30 sec. Add the flour, the yeast and the pinch of salt again for 30 sec at speed 5. You will get a very soft "cream".
Tip
yes, this will not be the lightest cake if you're on a diet, but sometimes we need confort food! I use to eat this cake for breakfast, I feel less Guilty. But: you can use low fat white yogurt instead of the sunflower oil and you can reduce the quantity of the sugar. You can also skip the last passage of the cane sugar and slices of butter, the cake will be fluffy and moist in any case. I used golden gala apples, but granny smith will be fine. Ciao!

I used tin pears. Can't wait to eat it
Very good recipe, it did take the full 45minutes to cook, I used gluten free flour and it still seemed to work out well.
Thankyou
Thankyou for the recipe!
I adjusted a few things to suit what I had in the pantry:
150g Raw Sugar, 200g Plain Flour, replaced 70g margarine with 70g Butter, replaced 50g Sunflower Oil to 30g Coconut Oil, 1 tsp dried yeast, 1/2 tsp Cinnamon & 30g milk.
