Ingredients

Raw Chocolate, Chia, Cranberry & Pistachio Balls

  • 250 grams pitted dates
  • 50 grams cocoa powder
  • 30 grams chia seeds
  • 80 grams Raw Shelled Pistachios or Raw Slivered Almonds
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, (Optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Almond extract, (Optional)
  • 50 grams dried cranberries

Recipe's preparation

    Raw Chocolate, Chia, Cranberry & Pistachio Energy Balls
  1. 1.  Place dates in mixing bowl & mix 15-20sec/speed7 until forms a thick paste.

  2. 2.  Add Cocoa, Chia Seeds, Vanilla & Almond extract to mixing bowl & mix 10sec/speed3 or until combined.

  3. 3.  Add Cranberries & Pistachios/or Almonds to bowl & blend 10-15sec/speed3.

  4. Turn mixure out onto baking paper & roll into balls.  Wrap in plastic & chill overnight.

Tip

Firmly packing together the mixture, then gentle rolling is the easiest way to make these stick together well.  Also a little bit of water on your hands can help to bind them together when rolling.

    Made these today tasting the mixture i think my dark cocoa may have been too strong, added the irange juice too. Will see how they are once chilled hoping delicious

    Really yum! Especially if you like chocolate...there's a real chocolatey taste.  I rolled mine in toasted sesamee seeds.

    Wow delicious....I added my Pistachios after step 1 - 5 seconds, speed 7 as I wanted these finer for the children. As Jaceyk commented, I too added the orange juice. Very enjoyable. Yummo...

    Oh my goodness! I followed up to step 3 but mixture was too dry so I added mixed all of it on speed 8 (like I have done for other balls) but still not clumping well so added 2 tablespoons of orange juice and mixed speed 4 for 3 seconds. It was then perfect to make into balls and OMG they tasted like Toblerone!!! (I used cacao and pistachios and just vanilla essence). Yum!
