I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
Seep 2 Black Tea bags (english breakfast, etc) in a boiling cup of water. Allow to seep according to strength preferences (shorter for weaker flavour, longer for more richer flavour.Set aside.
Add 500g water to Thermomix bowl (You can use preboiled water to speed time)Begin heating water, set Thermomix to 7min/100/"Counter-clockwise operation" /"Gentle stir setting"
When temperature light has reached 100, pour the Tapioca Pearls through top hole and adjust timer to 5mins. Leave MC off.
Tapioca (Boba) is ready when it floats to the top (you can see this through the top) Pour full contents of bowl (water and pearls) into Thermoserver and allow to sit for 5 mins or according to texture requirements. Tip. The longer you rest the Boba the softer the pearls. If you like a chewy texture stick to resting time or as per time specified on pack (my pack cooks in 5 mins)
Add 50g sugar and 50g water to bowl and cook 3mins/100/spd 2
When Tapioca Pearls have rested for allocated time, drain water and pour sugar syrup over Pearls.
Combine Tea, Milk of choice, condensed milk or sweetener of preference and ice into bowl. Mix 1min/spd 8
Add a scoop of prepared pearls into bottom of cup, pour in milk and serve immediately with large straw designed to suck up the pearls
Prepare the Tea
Prepare the Pearls
Make Sugar Syrup
Make Milk
Serve
Tip
Thermoserver required.See my other recipes as I upload other flavour versions.Use Tapioca pearls immediately, they wont keep and will get hard and unappealing after too long.Pearls can be found at local healthfood stores or Asian GroceriesEnjoy!
