Ingredients

Chilli Chicken - Indian/Chinese

  • 2 portions chicken breast fillet
  • 1 level tbsp garlic paste, can use fresh, just chop in thermie first!
  • 1 level tbsp ginger paste, can use fresh, just chop in thermie first!
  • 1 --- egg, beaten
  • 1 heaped tablespoons cornflour
  • 1 onions
  • 2 chilli, red, fresh, deseeded if don't like spicy!
  • 2 Capsicum, red and green
  • 2 chilli, green, long, deseeded if don't like spicy!
  • 1 heaped tablespoons ketchup or chilli sauce, depending on spice level preference
  • 2 heaped tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 heaped tablespoons soy sauce

Recipe's preparation

    Easy Chilli Chicken - friend's recipe adapted!
  1. Dice chicken breast and cut onion into chunks. Mix egg, cornflower and chicken. Set aside for 5-30 minutes. Combine chopped chillies, ketchup, vinegar and soy sauce. Set aside.
  2. Place onion, garlic and ginger into thermoimx and 5 mins / varoma / speed 1 / MC off
  3. Add diced marinated chicken and capsicum to thermomix then 10 minutes / Varoma / Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" / Speed 1 / MC Off
  4. Pour soy/vinegar sauce that you set aside and then 2 minutes / Varoma / / Speed 1 / MC Off
  5. Serve with naan, rice or noodles.

Tip

Adjust chillies/chilli sauce depending on spice tolerance

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.
