I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
- Heat oil in frypan
brown chicken mince
add sugar, ginger, Chinese 5 spice.
stir till fragrant
make a well in mix mix and in well put oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil. Once sauce is bubbling mix with meat. (I don’t know why this is necessary but someone told me once that you need to do that with oyster sauce, it’s why it’s cooked in frypan not tm).
once cooked set aside to cool or put mix into fridge till assembly - add all the ingredients to tm, kneed for 6 mins. Check after 1 min to see if it needs more milk or Gf flour.
Put onto lightly floured thermomat and roll into ball. - divide dough into 20 pieces. Roll each spice into a ball then flatten.
add a teaspoon of chicken filling and place into veroma top tray. Continue till tray is filled, try and leave a small gap between buns.
add 1 litter of water to bowl and set veroma on top. 20 mins, varoma, speed 1.
serve hot

Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
