Ingredients

pad thai

  • 500 grams water
  • 300 grams broccoli, heds removed,stalks julienned
  • 300 grams carrots, julienned
  • 4-5 stalks spring onions, cut in 4 cm length
  • 4-5 stalks coriander, cut in 4 cm length
  • 4 cloves garlic, pealed
  • 4 tbsp coconut oil, organic extra virgin cold pressed
  • 500 grams chicken thighs, deboned cut in to 2 cm cubes
  • 3 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp Coconut Aminos
  • 4 tbsp lime juice, about 1 large lime
  • 1/2 tbsp apple cider vinegar, or coconut vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp salt, or per taste

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1.Julienne the vegetables ,cut chicken in 2 cm cubes ,peal garlic cloves

    2.Add water to Thermomix bowl

    3.Add broccolli florettes to Varoma dish cover with the lid and cook

      5min/Varoma/sp 1

    4.Add julienned veggetables on the Varoma tray,making sure not to

      cover all holes completely.Place on the Varoma dish, with the

      florettes,still in ,cover with the lid and cook further 3

      min/varoma /sp 1

    5.When cooked ,transfer to Thermoserver and cover to keep warm.

    6.Empty the water from the bowl ,dry and add onion and coriander.

      Chop 5 sec/sp 8

    7.Transfer to the Thermoserver with the julienned vegetables.

    8.Clean the bowl,add garlic and chop 2-3 sec/sp 8, Scrape down 

       the sides

    9.Add coconut oil and saute 4 min/120/ speed 1

    10.Add chicken, saute 5 min/120/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting"

    11.Add fish sauce,coconut aminos,lime juice,Apple cider vinegar,salt

    12.Cook further 6 min/100/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting"

    13.Add to Thermoserver ,mix well and serve

     

Tip

If you can find already packaged,julienned vegetables will save on preparation times.

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.
