I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

    Chilli and Garlic Prawn Linguine
  1. cook pasta according to packet instructions and add sugar snap peas during last minute of cooking

    1. Place garlic cloves in THERMIE 5 secs reverse sp5 to peel garlic and pick out peel, scrape down with spatula (silicone spatula, not TMX spatula)

    2. Place chilli in tm with garlic and process sp7 2-3 secs to blitz

    3. Add oil to tm bowl and cook 1min 30 secs on VAROMA heat reverse sp1

    4. Place 'butterfly' in tm and turn until clicks into place (and when slightly pulling on it remains in place)

    5. Add peeled and de-veined prawns and cook on 110 temp approx 3 mins reverse sp1 or just until they turn pink

    6. Remove butterfly, give a stir with spatula. Add tomatoes, lemon rind and lemon juice and cook on reverse sp1 temp 110 approx 2-3 minutes

    7. While waiting for tm to finish cooking drain linguine and sugar snaps, place in bowl and mix in chopped parsley - add prawn mix from tm, toss through and serve with side salad

I cooked mine in my TM5 but I am sure it would be successful in TM31

Tip

Make sure all cooking is done with REVERSE to ensure prawns remain in tact.

just need to check often on prawns for when they turn pink

ENJOY

    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
