Recipe's preparation

    Preparation:
  1. Place ripe fruit, lemon juice and sugar into the mixing bowl and blend for 10sec/speed 6.

  2. Cook for 25mins/speed 1/90`C with the simmering basket instead of the MC.  (Reduced cooking temperature will prevent bubbling over)

  3. Once cooked, pour into sterilised jars, place lids on jars firmly and tighten lids again prior to storage.

    Recipe is created for
    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Tried the suggestions for thickening, this is more like a coulis not a jam. Don't recommend this recipe for jam but for a sauce instead(would be nice over vanilla ice cream)

I cooked it for 25min on Veroma, after 5 seconds on speed 5 to cut it up a bit. Also only added 200g sugar - might even do 150g next time. Seemed to set better. Only made one jar!

I made this and followed the recipe along with the extra 10 mins with varoma and it is like mulberry juice. I think I need a better receipe.

I cooked with MC lid on and so runny

Great recipe. Followed the advise and cooked for the extra 10 minutes on varoma and set perfectly.

Manda711: I continued cooking after the recommended time - turned it up to Varoma for 10 mins, speed 1. Then it set perfectly. 😋

Absolutely delicious! I followed the recipe, but added the finely grated rind of 1 lemon at the beginning for a little lift. Then after the recommended cooking time I gave it an extra 10 minutes at varoma temp, speed 1. This brought it to the perfect jelling point. 90C wasn’t high enough to reach jelling point for me. But it’s perfect now. Seriously good on toast!

Very easy but very runny, hoping that when it cools it will set a bit 😊
