Ingredients

375g Philly cheese (not light as it will be runny)

  • 2 heaped tablespoon sour cream
  • 2 220g cans red salmon (drained and de-boned)
  • 6 shallots chopped
  • salt and pepper to season
  • 1/2 cups chopped chives
  • 120 grams pecan nuts

Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. Mix philly cheese, sour cream, shallots, salt and pepper and salmon together on speed 4 for 3 secs. Scrape down sides and mix again until combined.

    Scrape out bowl and set aside in fridge for 1 hour or until firm.

    Clean bowl and add pecans to bowl press turbo for 2 secs (you want them chunky as it adds texture to the log). Stir through the chopped shallots and spread mixture on a plate.

    Shape the salmon/cream cheese mixture into a log shape and roll in pecan/chive mixture until log shape is fully coated.

    Serve with Jatz or your favourite crackers.
