Ingredients
- 2 rasher bacon
- 1 large onion
- 400 g brussel sprouts, cut in half
- 20 g Butter
- 20 grams olive oil
- 50 grams pine nuts
- 60 grams Parmesan cheese

I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
1. Put the olive oil, bacon and onion into the bowl and blend on speed 3 for 5 seconds.
2. Add 50 grams of pine nuts
3. Saute for 3 minutes, at 100 degrees on speed 1.
4. Add 1 litre of water to the bowl.
5. Place the sprouts on the Varoma tray and place Varoma on top of the bowl.
6. Set the THERMOMIX at Varoma temperature to cook for 16 minutes on speed 2.
7. Heat up a fry pan on the stove and heat the butter until it has melted.
8. Add the brussel sprouts and stirfry for about 4 minutes untll sprouts start to caramelise.
9. Add the bacon and onion and stirfry till golden brown.
10. Add the parmesan cheese and turn off heat. Allow parmesan cheese to melt slightly before serving.
Season to taste.
Tip
I've always loved bacon, parmesan cheese and pine nuts with my brussel sprouts.
I use baby brussel sprouts for a smaller, sweeter flavoured dish.
