I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
Heat water to Varoma temperature. Took me about 12 mins, I forgot to put the MC on part way, oops.
Add ginger, soy, sugar, and sesame oil.
Place the dumplings in upper Varoma tray, I lined mine with baking paper to ensure I could remove the dumplings at the end of cooking. Place Varoma on top of TM bowl. Cook for 15 mins/Varoma/Sp 2.
In last 5 mins of cooking, place pak choy in lower Varoma tray to steam for last few minutes.
Check that the dumplings are cooked, they should be. Remove pak choy if you need to cook dumplings longer.
Place dumplings and pak choy into serving bowls, pour soup stock over dumplings. Sprinkle with shallots and coriander.
My soup tasted like it needed a little more salt. I was careful not to overload the salt during the cooking. So in each bowl I added a small amount of soy sauce over the soup to enhance the flavour. It did the trick.
Here's how to make the magic happen..............

Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
