Ingredients
Chilli Cakes
- 250 grams dholl (yellow split peas)
- 3 green chillies, fresh
- 6 spring onions, cut into 2 inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons coriander leaves, roughly chopped
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 onion, quartered
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds, whole
- salt, to taste
- oil, for frying

Wash the dholl and then soak in water overnight.
Place chillies, spring onions, coriander leaves and onion inyo TM bowl and blitz 3 secs/speed 7 - set aside
Drain the dholl and then grind to a fine paste: 1 min/speed 9
Scrape down sides of bowl and blitz again 1 min/speed 9
Shape the resultant mixture into balls and deep fry in very hot oil until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels and serve hot on their own or with sals of your choice.
