Lactation Cookies
Tip
Makes a huge number of cookies [like 80+] so unless you are making a batch for yourself and taking some to your mothers group, you can make a full batch and freeze half [which is what I'll do] of it or simply halve the quantities. Enjoy!

Sorry but this mixture is way too much, a great way to distroy your thermomix.
mine look nothing like the picture. Should Step 8 be on reverse? all my choc chips got chopped up on speed 5 and my mixture ended up looking like chocolate cake mix,
I find your portions way out as the blades would not turn with this much dry iingredients. Much liquid is needed.

Hi Filinesse. Yes, the addition of 100g of liquid something I added in because I converted this recipe for Thermomix, I did it exactly as the original recipe said [but made sure I recorded weights] and when I got to that stage, the mixture was too sticky for my Thermomix so I decided to try adding more liquid and it seemed to work for me. 2 minutes was what I was aiming for but if you're happy with less time then go for it! All recipes are open to interpretation and depending on what consistencies cater to your tastes. It IS a very 'sticky' mixture.
Thanks for that! I realised after posting the most of the other recipes I'd seen said 1 tsp baking SODA not powder, and I guess 1 tbsp of powder is roughly equivalent So is the addition of the 100g liquid your own version then? Just one other question:
How did you manage to get step 8 to work for 2 entire minutes? I set up my machine to do that and it just about had a heart attack within less than 20 seconds, I think the mixture was just too sticky for the machine to move! I was worried I'd done the impossible and broken my Thermie cos it got stuck and flashed an error message at me, but thankfully turning it off and on again fixed it! lol. That being said, those few seconds of mixing seemed enough cos the mixture looked pretty mixed when I took off the lid.
Hello Filinesse. The original recipe I adapted says 1 tablespoon of baking powder. A link to the original recipe is on the blog post for Lactation Cookies http://thermomixtricks.com/?p=220.
Hi, should it be 1 tsp of baking powder instead of 1 tbsp? Your quantities listed all look comparable to most other lactation cookie recipes I've seen online with the exception of the baking powder.
Unfortunately brewers yeast is one of the main ingredients for increasing your breastmilk supply. It can be bought from health food stores, organic shops like Wray Organic and Big W.
Since its not easy to get brewers yeast , Is that any thing that I can substitute? Please.....
