- 230 gram Self Raising Flour
- 1 teaspoon caster sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 60 grams Butter
- 1 --- egg
- 145 grams Milk, Can be buttermilk or sour or whatever is in the fridge

I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
Add dry ingredients add mix on speed 5 for 5 sec
add butter and egg if using mix speed 5 for 5 sec
knead for 1 min and add milk gradually till dough has foformed
turn out on mat and roll to desired thickness. Use mc to cut out and place close together on tray. Bake at 200 degrees for 10-15 min, till golden brown

You can leave the egg out for an egg free option

Hahaha classic, i have never added the butter and didnt even notice it was on the ingredients list. Thanks for the edit though, will try them again. They are seriously the best scones ever!!

Hi sorry I don't really know about almond milk
When do you add the butter?? I got to then with no butter added. Threw the mix in the bin and made a different recipe.
I tried these recently and must have done something wrong, I found the dough too sticky and had to add a lot more flour. Also couldn't work out when to add the butter from the ingredients list, as it is not in the instructions. They still tasted quite good, but were heavy and doughy. Might try again but with less milk.
is it ok to use the almond milk I made in TM?
