Ingredients

Cake mixture

  • 180 g raw sugar
  • 150 g Butter, cubed
  • 340 g self-raising flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 2 eggs
  • 250 g Milk

Cinnamon sugar

  • half teaspoon milled sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon, extra

Recipe's preparation

    Cake mixture
  1. Line and grease a baking tin and set aside. 


    Preheat oven to 180.


    Mill sugar 3 seconds/speed 9. Set aside, taking out half a teaspoon and putting in a separate bowl for the cinnamon sugar.


    Add butter to the TM jug. Melt 2.5 minutes/60/speed 4.


    Add all other ingredients, including the reserved sugar. Combine 20 seconds/speed 5.


    Pour mixture into prepared baking tin and bake for around 45 minutes, or until cooked through.

  2. Cinnamon sugar
  3. In a small bowl, combine reserved half teaspoon of sugar with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Sprinkle over the cake while it's still warm.

    This is a lovely quick all in one cake.
    I made it gluten free with a straight swap with White Wings GF SR flour.
    I adopted a recommendation and used 2 teaspoons of cinnamon and flavour was great.
    Just 40 mins in fan-forced oven and it cooked beautifully.
    I lightly brushed the warm cake with melted butter to help hold the cinnamon sugar.

    Easy recipe, cake looks so impressive, rises beautifully is moist and tastes delicious. Only thing I prefer more of a cinnamon taste and will try adding morenext time.

    Lovely cake very tasty and a good smooth batter. great for afternoon tea with coffee. Will make it again
