I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
place sugar into tm bowl and blend on 9 for 10s
add quartered orange and blend on 7 for 10s
add oil and 3 eggs and blend on 6 for 15s
add flour and blend on 5 for 20s
place in a ring tin and bake on 160 degrees for 50 mins to 1hour until cooked (test with a skewer)
this cake rises alot so cooking time may vary
Tip
GF SR Flour can be substituted, making this a perfect GF dairy free cake, however I halve the recipe using only 1 orange and 2 eggs for better results
substitute lemons for oranges

Always on the look out for big cakes for a canteen at a sporting club.... super easy to make...really big. smells devine. Used one really big home grown orange and one lemon. Will be my go to if nice and moist and by all previous comments it will be....thanks so much.
made this orange cake today, ohhh sooo yummy
Yes, skin and all
I made half recipe with gluten free flour (used "Well and Good" brand) and 2 eggs. Came out really well - perhaps a little dry but I think I just left it in oven too long. Very easy - will make again Thank you!
Simply too easy makes a huge cake or two loaf tins and delicious my go to cake for oranges no one wants to eat!!!
Great, quick and easy cake. Very moist.
do you put whole quartered oranges in, like skin and all?
thankyou. Very easy and yummy, I modified by using left over orange pulp from making orangade for kids (from 2 oranges), then added 1 extra orange, a little less sugar, only 200g oil, and full amount flour. Turned out delicious, but made heaps....used 2 cake tins and froze 1 cake.
This was really easy and nice and moist. tI really filled up the pan and then some. I used caster sugar so skipped that bit and the mix needed a bit more work so gave it another 2 lots of 10 seconds after scraping down the sides.
Used the whole quantity and cooked it in a bundt tin and it worked out well. Nice moist texture and not overly sweet cake, especially if made with rapadura sugar. I just glazed it with a little orange glaze and it was very nice. Next time I might add a little cinnamon or cardamon.
