Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Add water, Yeast, Bakers Flour, Improver, sugar, salt and Oil to TM bowl with MC and combine for 10 seconds, speed 3

    2. Remove MC and mix for 4 Minutes on Dough setting. Watch that your TM doesnt walk off the bench.

    3. Turn out onto floured Thermomat (or into a large oven proof bowl) and fold over mat leaving room for expansion.

    4.  Place in Pre Heated oven at 50 degrees for 10 Minutes then remove place on bench and shape into approximate bread tin size.

    5. Place into a lightly oiled large bread tin (I use a large 'Bakers Secret' tin) and press into corners and level out.

    6. Return to 50 degree oven (with a bowl of boiling water for moisture) for a further 20 minutes or until it has risen to about 1-2 cm from top then remove all and place on bench (discard water).

7, Turn oven temp up to 200 degrees (I use fan forced top & bottom during this step).

    8. When oven has reached temperature place tin in lowest shelf and bake for 10 minutes then turn bread tin round 180 degrees and back for a further 10 minutes.

    9. Remove from oven and tin and place on a cooling rack.

    10. Enjoy

Tip

As a mere Male and new to Thermomix I have had many unsuccesful attempts to make the perfect bread, This works for me hence more detail for those with a similar dissability to mine and good luck.

This dough can be used for Rolls etc. I make 12 rolls out of this mix.

Thermomix Model

    Recipe is created for
    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

This was really yum, did not last long! Was a bit worried wasn't going to work as didn't see much rise in the first stint in the oven but it did second stint and was delicious once cooked - our pan may have been too large  Big Smile
