Recipe's preparation

    Prepare the base
  1. Use a 40cm x 30cm tray and line with baking paper
  2. Spread out the saladas evenly over the entire base like tiles. No need to break up at this point
  3. Add butter and brown sugar to the bowl and cook 10 minutes/varoma/speed 2 simmer basket on lid
  4. Scrape down bowl and cook 10 minutes/varoma/speed 2 simmer basket on lid
  5. Pour caramel over prepared biscuits in tray and even out with spatula to cover the base. Place in preheated oven at 180deg for 10 mins or until completely bubbling.
  6. Rest on bench for 5 mins while chocolate melts
  7. In very dry bowl (a second bowl is handy here as bowl MUST be dry)place chocolate in pieces. Roughly chop 6 seconds/speed 6.
  8. Gently melt chocolate 3 minutes/50 deg/speed 3
  9. Scrape down and if not all melted repeat 1 minute/50 deg/speed 3 until melted.
  10. Pour melted chocolate over caramel and biscuit base. Spread with spatula until completely covered.
  11. Top the chocolate with pretzel pieces, salt flakes, sprinkles and other toppings of choice.
  12. Refrigerate overnight and break into pieces in the morning. Enjoy! You are now a Crack dealer! 😂

Tip

Great toppings are pretzels, salt flakes, sprinkles, candy cane pieces, smarties, crushed nuts, white chocolate drizzle, peanut brittle etc.

    TM 6
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
