I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
Add coconut oil to the TM "Closed lid" "Gentle stir setting" 50 degrees 2 minutes (this may need
shorter or longer depending how firm the coconut oil is at the time. Keep it
warming until most of the oil is liquid.)
Weigh in carob, honey (or substitues), vanilla and salt.
Heat "Closed lid" speed 1, 60 degrees for 8 minutes. You may need to scrape
down in side of TM bowl half way through this part.Pour finished product into a sterilised jar. One with a narrow top will help with
pouring of the topping onto your ice cream.Try adding a few drops of natural peppermint or orange essence for a few
different flavour option, you can also try white choc with strawberry essence for
strawberries and cream.Makes approximately 250gm
DO NOT refridgerate -
You can make double or more batches, you will just need to increase the cooking
time to compensate, so all ingredients are dissolved through the oil. Depending
on your location, coconut oil in the final product may slightly seperate or become
harder in cooler weather. Just pop the jar into a bowl of hot water -or microwave
to help liquify before use.
A much healthier option for you and your children to enjoy!

Comments
Should have read the comments before making, Cacao definitely doesn't work. Will give it another go with cooking chocolate. Disappointed!
Cacao doesn't work!
I made this with cacao powder and maple syrup and it seized so I had to throw it out. Very unhappy with the result.
Followed this to the letter (using cocoa) and it's horrible!! It's all solid and dry!! 100g is waaaay too much cocoa for this recipe! Just wasted so many ingredients - very disappointed!!
This is really good. My kids loved it and I'm happy one more thing I won't have to buy.
