- 1 carrot
- 1 zuccini
- 1 bunch spinach, handful size
- 100 grams Cubed Cheese, mixed parmesan/colby
- 300 grams soy milk
- 30 grams rice flour
- 20 grams cubed butter
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch Nutmeg
- 2 portions Rice Pasta
- 425 gram tuna tin, partially drained

Place 100g cubed cheese (3cm) into bowl
10 seconds/speed 10
Place 300g soy milk, 30g rice flour & 20g cubed butter into bowl
Pinch salt & nutmeg
12 mins/100°/speed 3
Peel & cut up 1 carrot into bite sized pieces & place in Varoma
Peel & cut up 1 zucchini & some spinach & set aside
When cheese sauce is done, set aside, rinse & dry TMX bowl
Place steaming basket into bowl
Place desired amount of rice pasta into basket
Fill with cold water until pasta is just covered
Add pinch salt & dash olive oil
Place lid & Varoma (with carrots) on top
15 mins/Varoma°/Speed 4
Remove Varoma lid CAREFULLY, lifting the lid away from you to release the steam
Place the lid upside down on the bench & place the Varoma on lid
Remove Steaming basket from the water with TMX spatula & a tea towel & place in a bowl in the sink
DO NOT tip water out of the TMX bowl
Add zucchini and spinach into Varoma
Replace TMX lid & Varoma & continue to steam vegetables in Varoma
5 mins/Varoma°/Speed 4
Remove Varoma lid CAREFULLY lifting lid away from you to release steam
Place the lid upside down on bench & place Varoma on lid
Empty water from TMX bowl over pasta basket that’s in bowl in the sink (to warm it up again)
Tip sauce, vegetables, 1 x 425g tin of partially drained tuna into bowl
5 mins/98°/soft speed REVERSE
Serve warmed pasta into bowls & pour tuna mornay over the top

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities.
