- 225 g Flour, Plain
- 15 g baking powder
- 225 g sugar
- 30 g cocoa powder
- 200 g Milk
- 5 g vanilla extract
- 3 eggs

- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Grease and line cake pan.
- Add butter to mixing bowl. Melt 2 minutes, 50°C, speed 4 with measuring cup in mixing bowl lid. Scrape down sides.
- Melt again 30 seconds, 50°C, speed 4 with measuring cup in mixing bowl lid or until fully melted.
- Add flour, baking powder, sugar, cocoa, milk, vanilla extract and eggs.
- Mix 20 seconds, speed 4, "Counter-clockwise operation" . Scrape down sides.
- Mix again, 20 seconds, speed 4, "Counter-clockwise operation" .
- Tip mixture into prepared pan.
- Return mixing bowl to base, with measuring cup in mixing bowl lid. Flick remaining mixture off blades, 2 seconds, speed 7. Add to cake mixture in pan.
- Bake for 45 - 60 minutes, until cake springs back when touched and skewer comes out clean.
- Cool in tin for 5 minutes. Run silicone spatula around edge of cake and release from tin. Rest on cooling rack until completely cool.
- Ice with chocolate icing (or dust with icing sugar) once cooled completely.
