ANZAC Biscuits

  • 115 grams Butter
  • 60 grams golden syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
  • 2 tablespoons Boiling water
  • 90 grams dessicated coconut
  • 215 grams brown sugar
  • 110 grams rolled oats
  • 160 grams plain flour

Recipe's preparation

    ANZAC Biscuits
  1. Preheat oven to 160 fan forced

    Line 2 large baking trays

    Add 115g of butter to bowl

    Add 60g of golden syrup to bowl

    Melt 2 mins 30 seconds, 70 degrees, speed 2

    Mix 1/2 tsp of Bicarbonate soda with 2 tblsps of boiling water

    Pour into melted butter mixture

    Mix 20 sec, speed 2

    Add 90g coconut

    Add 215g brown sugar

    Add 110g oats

    Add 160g plain flour

    Mix 20 sec, speed 3

    Scrape sides of bowl

    Mix 20 secs, speed 3

    Roll into teaspoon sized balls and put on lined baking tray

    Dip a fork in flour and gently press into balls

    Bake for 8-12 minutes or until golden brown and to desired firmness

Tip

Biscuits will keep well for over 1 week.
Can be frozen.

Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
