I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

    Apples
  1. 1.  Place peeled, cored and sliced apples into the Varoma dish and tray.

    2.  Spinkles apples with Cinnamon then place Varoma lid on.

    3.  Add water to TMClosed lid"Closed lid" .

    4.  Steam apples for 17-20 min / Varoma / Speed 2.

    5.  Once apples have cooked through, place in a baking dish.

    6.  Rinse and dry TM Closed lid"Closed lid" .

  2. 'Bit-of-this-and-that' Crumble
  3. 1.  Place all crumble ingredients into TMClosed lid"Closed lid" and place lid on with MC in place.

(Measurements don't need to be exact - this is where I add a bit-of-this-and-that depending on what I have in the pantry and how heavy-handed I am with each ingredient)

    2.  Press turbo button 4-5 times (on 1 sec) until you get the desired crumble consistancy (my children prefer the finer texture).

    3.  Sprinkle evenly over the apples and bake in a pre-heated oven for 15 min at 200 deg, or until golden on top.

Tip

Serve warm with Thermomix vanilla custard or icecream.

You can add/substitute other nuts depending on your 'likes'.

Great for breakfast too!

    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
