Recipe's preparation

  1. Line a 28cm x 18cm slice tray with baking paper making sure you leave paper hanging over the sides to help remove the slice from the tin once set.

Add the biscuits to the bowl and mix for 10 seconds, speed 7 to blitz and form a nice rough crumb. Remove the biscuits from the bowl. (No need to clean)

Cut the butter into cubes and place into your Thermomix bowl. Break one block of the Caramilk chocolate into pieces and add to your Thermomix bowl along with the sweetened condensed milk. Cook for 3 minutes, 60 degrees, speed 2.

Return the biscuits to the mixture and mix for 10 seconds, speed 7 until well combined. Don't be alarmed if your mixture is quite wet.

Using a metal spoon, spread slice evenly over the tray and push down to smooth.
  2. Break the remaining block of Caramilk chocolate into pieces and place it into a microwave safe bowl along with the vegetale oil and cook for 30 second spurts until it has melted.

Pour the melted milk chocolate over the top of the Caramilk Slice and place in the fridge for 2 hours or until set.

Remove the set slice from the baking tray and cut into small pieces.

Tip

You may need to play around with the addition of more marie biscuits if your mixture is too buttery.

    Recipe is created for
    TM 6
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
