Recipe's preparation

  1. Add biscuits and maltesers to bowl and mix on speed 5 / 10 secs until forms a chunky crumb.

  2. Empty crumb from bowl.   No need to rinse.

  3. Add butter and condensed milk and melt for 2 minutes / 50 degrees / speed 4.

  4. Return crumb mixture to bowl and Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" / Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" / 10 secs.

Your mixture will be quite wet.  Spread into lined slice container and press down with back of a spoon.  Refrigerate for 20 mins.

  5. Place into a clean bowl your chocolate and grate 10 secs / speed 9.

    Add the vegetable oil and melt for 2 - 5 mins / 50 degrees / speed 3.

Pour on to top of slice base.

Then sit 40 Maltesers into the melted chocolate. (I do 5 rows across with 8 maltesers in each row).

    Place in fridge to set.

Tip

Once choclate is set I then cut it into 40 pieces (a malteser on each piece) and return to airtight container.  Store in fridge.

    DAMN!! THAT’S GOOD SLICE!
I used a Swiss roll pan to do mine and they were a little thin. It made 40 thin bite size pieces, which to be honest is perfect as it is very decadent.
I’m Interested to know which size dish it is meant for.
i would even consider maybe doing a double batch of the base in the Swiss roll pan to add the height to the slice.
I also used original choc ripple biscuits, Cadbury chocolate and carnation condensed milk. I don’t like to buy the cheaper versions when cooking things like this. The extra cost really does show in the final product. Having said that it also made it an expensive slice to make.

So good! I made them too thick and they shattered when cutting. Will use a larger tray next time.
