I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
Add milk, butter, sugar and yeast into mixing bowl 2.5min/37c/sp2.
Then add flour, salt, vinegar, milk and sugar 3min"Dough mode"
Transfer to the ovenmat or a bowl to rise for about an hour.
Clean mixing bowl and add the almonds and hazelnuts and mill 10sec/sp10.
Add the rest of the ingredients and mix 5 sec/sp6.
Roll out the dough into a thin rectangle shape, spread the nut mixture evenly and roll it into a log. I do this on a sheet of baking paper for easier transfer later.
Now use kitchen scissors and cut the log lengthwise in half so you end up with 2 long logs.
Now just twist them into a braid and let it sit for 20 min to do some more rising. Now preheat your oven to 160c.
Carefully transfer the Nut Braid into the oven and bake for 35-45 min.

TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

I used the size rectangle equivalent to a baking tray. Yes they turn out quite big, so can be easily turned into 2 braids

Mine is in the oven now... same question as El Jefe....what size rectangle did you make ?? mine turned out huge !!! i spread the dough with raspberry jam first ( love the combination of raspberry and hazelnut )... can't wait to taste....but i think next time i need to make 2 braids....it is huge...
The flavour was delicious. It re-heats well in the pressure toaster.
my execution of this loaf was a disaster. Would you give an approximate size of the rectangle required when rolling out the dough please. Also approximately how many twists you do. My filling spilled out everywhere ( i had lined a large tray with baking paper, which turned out to be a great idea as the filling ran to the edges and I was able to fold it back over the loaf)
