Ingredients

  • 85 grams Hazelnuts, roasted
  • 200 grams chocolate chips, Mixture of dark and milk
  • 170 grams Butter, Roughly chopped
  • 4 eggs
  • 200 grams castor sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Paste
  • 100 grams chocolate chips, Semi-sweet

Recipe's preparation

  1. Grease and line a small square baking dish (9 x 9in) and preheat the oven to 180 °C.

     

  2. Add hazelnuts to mixer bowl, mill for 10-15 sec/speed 9/MC on.

    Set aside.

     

     

  3. Without washing the bowl, add chocolate and mill for 10 sec/speed 9/MC on.

    Scrape bowl down with spatula to loosen the chocolate from the bottom of the bowl.

    Add butter to mixer bowl. Melt for 4 min/60 degrees/speed 2/MC on.

    Set aside to cool slightly, wash and dry bowl.

     

  4. Insert butterfly, add eggs and sugar, cream together 3 min/speed 4/MC on, until light and fluffy and approximately tripled in volume.

    Add vanilla paste, then your reserved melted chocolate mixture and hazelnut meal, and remaining chocolate chips, gently fold for 1.30 min/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" or speed 2/MC on.

    Pour batter out into prepared tin and bake in pre-heated oven until set - about 40-45 minutes.

    Allow it to cool completely before cutting into slices.

Instead of chocolate chips at the end I have also substituted with Reese's Peanut Butter Chips

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.
