Ingredients

German Chocolate Cake

  • 165 grams Butter
  • 140 grams Dutch cocoa powder
  • 200 grams Coffee
  • 400 grams Milk
  • 250 grams brown sugar
  • 200 grams white sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 360 grams flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • pinch salt

Icing

  • 230 g brown sugar
  • 210 g evaporated milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 55 g Butter
  • 3 tsp vanilla
  • 250 g Coconut & Pecans

Recipe's preparation

    German Chocolate Cake
  1. Pre heat your oven to 180°C, fan bake and line your baking dish
  2. Add 165g Butter
  3. Add 140g Dutch Cocoa Powder
  4. Closed lid"Closed lid" 2minutes/ 55°C/ Speed 5
  5. Add 200g Coffee
  6. Add 400g Milk
  7. Add 250g Brown Sugar
  8. Add 200g White Sugar
  9. Add 3 eggs
  10. Add 1 TBSP Vanilla Paste
  11. Add 360g Flour
  12. Add 1 tsp Baking Soda
  13. Add 3 tsp Baking Powder
  14. Add pinch of Salt
  15. 10/-/7
    Closed lid"Closed lid"
  16. Scrape down the sides of the bowl

  18. Pour into prepared cake tin and bake for 45minutes or until skewer comes out clean
  19. Icing
  20. Add 230g Brown Sugar
  21. Add 210g Evaporated Milk
  22. Add 3 Egg Yolks
  23. Add 55g Butter
  24. 10/Varoma/2
    Closed lid"Closed lid"
  25. Add 3 tsp Vanilla Paste
  26. Add 250g Coconut and Pecans
  27. 10/-/4
  28. Set icing aside to cool while cake cooks
  29. Once cake has cooked and cooled top with icing and serve
