Ingredients

Cake Batter

  • 250 g Pumpkin purée
  • 200 g almond butter, (Use any Nut or Seed Butter)
  • 100 g honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp bicarb soda
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla powder, (Or 1tsp Vanilla Essence)
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp cloves
  • 50 g choc chips, (Optional)

Recipe's preparation

  1. Step 1. Turn oven on to 180*C. Line 8" cake tin.

    Step 2. Add all ingredients (except choc chips) to Mixing Bowl. 

    Step 3. Mix on speed 4 for 20 seconds. Scrape down sides of Bowl, add choc chips, mix on speed 4 for 10 seconds.

    Step 4. Pour batter into prepared cake tin. Cook for 25-30 minutes.

    Step 5. Let cake rest for 10 minutes before taking out of tin.

    Step 6. Serve with yoghurt & enjoy!

Tip

*Delicious cooked in a Dutch Oven! Cook for 30 minutes in a Dutchy.

*Can be served hot or cold.

*Use 3tsp of Pumpkin Spice in place of all other spices.

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
    Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities.
