I love the basis of this recipe. We are gluten free and dairy free so I adjusted it with gluten free SR Flour, 1/2 teaspoon xanthum gum, dairy free spread(Nutalex) and instead of normal sugar, I used rapadura sugar which has also given them a lovely caramel flavor. I also reduced the sugar to 200g which is still sweet enough. The mixing times I extended a bit. No nuts though, just a few choc chips. Delish!Smile. These will be my new go to recipe as it's easy and a short list of ingredients.

I reduced the sugar to 190g and will probably try 150g next time as they are still plenty sweet enough. Also did half wholemeal/half white SR flour as I didn't have enough white and they still turned out great!!

This recipe is great. Only need a few ingredients tmrc_emoticons.) next time I would mill the sugar as mine didn't break down during step 1. This makes a pretty big batch -  which is great. I got 3 dozen biscuits.  : tmrc_emoticons.D thanks for adding.

I made these today, I found the mixture to be crumbly & added a small splash of milk to bring it together enough to roll into balls. Otherwise very nice!

Really great biscuit with few ingredients.

found that the mixing times needed to be extended, especially with the mixing stage of cocao & flour.  i  to had to help with spatula.  mixture ended fine though.

Made these today - found that the mixture didn't mix together at cocoa and flour instructions.  Ended up mixing on reverse at speed 4 for extra 30 seconds and used spatula to help mix.  Didn't have peanuts so used macadamias and extra choc bits - VERY NICE and chewy.  Will definately make them again.  Thank-you for the recipe.
