  • 150 g chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 50 g sugar
  • 25 g Milk

Recipe's preparation

  1. Firstly blitz the biscuits at mix 4 secs / Sp. 5[/b]. (If making double, do biscuits in two stages). Tip into a large mixing bowl.

  2. Next place the sugar in TM bowl and whizz 10 secs / Sp. 10[/b]. Add chocolate to icing sugar and blitz 5 secs / Sp. 8[/b]. Remove and place in a separate small bowl.

  3. Place butter, syrup and Horlicks (if using) into TM bowl and heat 1 min / 75°C / Sp.2[/b].

  4. Pour mixture into bowl of crushed biscuits and stir together. Press mixture into a round flan tin (with loose base) or large spring form cake tin and refrigerate until firm – minimum 30 mins before adding icing.

  5. To make icing, place the chocolate and icing sugar mixture and milk in TM bowl and melt 1 min / 75°C / Sp. 2[/b]. If you think the mixture is a little thick, add a splash more milk. Spread chocolate icing over the biscuit base.

  6. Refrigerate for minimum 1 hour before cutting.

9" flan tin (loose base) or large tray lined with baking parchment.

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
    Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
