I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
line 2 baking trays with baking paper
Put Milk, Egg and 50g Butter into Bowl
5 sec/speed 4 - or until butter broken up
add yeast, tablespoon sugar, salt and plain flour into bowl
6secs/speed 6
Scrape down sides
2 min//
put into bowl and leave in a warm place to rise for approx an hour or until doubled in size
Making the filling
put 60g butter, 120g sugar and 1 teaspoon grated orange peel into the bowl - you can mill the sugar if you want a finer filling (i like it chunkier!)
10 secs/speed 5 (scrape down and repeat if necessary)
Assembling
Roll out dough on thermomat or bench - making a rectangular shape - making it fairly thin - mine usually fills the thermomat almost to the edges
Spread filling mix onto dough and spread out - right to the edges
roll dough from front to back - making a scroll roll
Slice into 1.5cm slices and place on tray - lined with baking paper
Cook for 20-25 mins in 180 degrees
Making Glaze
Put Raw sugar into bowl and mill
10 secs/speed 9
add orange juice and and mix
10 secs/speed 2
add additional orange juice if required to make slightly runny glaze
after cooking - place onto plate and drizzle glaze
eat hot ot cold - either way they are yummy!
