I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
- Pre heat oven to 220°C. Begin making these scones only after oven has reached temperature.
Place flour into TM bowl. Add butter. Mix for 12 secs, speed 5. Mixture will look like fine breadcrumbs.
Add milk or milk substitute . Mix 15 secs speed 3 to form a soft dough. Do not overmix or scones will be tough.
Turn dough onto well-floured Thermomat or board, sprinkle more flour on top and gently pat into 3-4cm thickness.
Use MC or cookie cutter to cut rounds. Place close together on tray lined with baking paper.
Bake for 10-12 minutes.
Tip
Scones can be glazed before baking by brushing tops with milk, or melted butter if desired.

This is a winner.
Quick, easy and really good scones. Definitely a go to recipe.
Turned out great. Nice and fluffy. Scones have never really worked for me before.
So impressed- just like the ones nanna use to make.
I just made these. Very soft and light trick is to play with the dough as less as possible. Done in oven about 220c fan forced for 10mins. I also made chocolate ones. I subbed 10-15g of flour for cocoa powder. Delish!
Oh my goodness! Beautiful recipe, quick, easy and delicious was a little worried with how sticky mix was but all came together beautifully. These are on my fave list. Thank you
