  • 30 g golden syrup
  • 15 g Boiling water
  • 1 level tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 180 g rolled oats
  • 125 g raw sugar
  • 100 g plain flour
  • 90 g choc chips

Recipe's preparation

  1. preheat oven to 160 degrees celsius (Fan forced) and line 2 baking trays with baking paper and set aside until needed

  2. place the butter, golden syrup and boiling water into the thermomix bowl and heat for 3 minutes, 80 degrees, speed 2

  3. add the bicarb soda and mix for 5 seconds, speed 3. Scrape down sides of bowl, then add the rolled oats, plain flour and raw sugar to the bowl. Mix for 10 seconds, REVERSE, speed 3. scrape down t he sides of the bowl

  4. add choc chips and mix for 5 seconds, REVERSE speed 3

  5. place tsp sized amounts of dough onto the trays, allow room for spreading.
    Bake for 15 minutes or until golden.
    Allow to cool.
