- 100g grams natural yogurt, mundella premiun natural yogurt

I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
cook 2litres milk 20mins/temp 80/speed 3
take jug off till milk cools to 37 just keep putting jug back on to check temp takes approx 30mins,dont forget like i do or you have to start again set an alarm
now add 100g your starter yogurt stir 3-5 sec sp3
cook for a further 20mins / temp 37/speed 3
pour into thermoserver cover with towel and leave on bench overnight refrogerate will go thicker once chilled also thicker depending on milk used,dont pour away whey add to smoothies etc its full goodness

Tip
dont forget to save 100g for next batch,i often make 1litre same timing,you can make berry coulis to stir through,its so cheap compared to shop bought and free of addatives

Best Greek yogurt! Worth following the recipe exactly but did take waaay longer than 30 mins to cool to 37deg.
have you tried a non dairy yoghurt ( apart from the initial 100 gm of starter which would be dairy?
Can anyone let me know how long this home made yogurt will last in the fridge please? And is it ok to put in the fridge for a bit to reduce temp between first and second cooking, in QLD seems already to take a long time to cool, will get longer in coming months too. Thanks
I have been trying different ways to flavour lately and if you grind vanilla pod with bit sugar or add honey in first stage of heating it comes out lovely.just mellow not to much sugar or honey you can also leave yogurt for longer and it makes yogurt (quark style chees)

I have just made a batch and I wont be buying the epensive brand anymore at the supermarket. Once it set in the fridge overnight I placed it in a tea towl and sat it in a colander for about 5 hours. The result is a thick yogurt! What I do is I line a shallow container with homemade jam(made in the thermo) and then spread a thick layer of yogurt on top. Gourmet yogurt that is all natural! thank so much
