I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
Place yeast, sugar and warm water in TM bowl
Mix for 20 secs – speed 4. Let stand for 10 mins
Add salt, flour, oil, and mix 5 secs – speed 7 to combine
Set dial to closed position, 1 minute 30 secs, "Dough mode"
Rise in the TM bowl for 30-45 min, or until doubled.
Once risen, mix 1 minute on interval speed to punch down
Turn out, and smooth into a ball, place on a greased tray. Cut shallow slits in centre of dough.
Cover lightly with greased cling wrap, and set aside in a warm place for 30-40mins, until almost doubled. Pre-heat oven to 180c fan forced or 200c without.
Once dough has risen, brush top with whisked egg, and dust top with a little flour.
Bake for 30/35 mins until bottom of loaf sounds hollow
Tip
Before step 7, lightly cover hands in olive oil, this will stop the dough from sticking to your hands.
I usually complete step 8 in the oven while it's pre-heating

was pretty good, will make it again but will try out what others said and put it in a cake tin as it did go a little flat but the bread its self was so good
Very disappointing. ☹️
Quite dissapointed, wouldnt make it again. Was quite flat despite putting in a cake tin as per previous comments. Didnt dome at all.
How much salt is needed? I made a guess and did a couple of pinches
This was amazing, so easy and super tasty. Will try it in a cake tin next time though as it spread a little when i did the egg wash. Will definitely make this over and over again.
Turned out really well. Also cooked in a round cake tin.
Turned out fantastic! I made it a nice high ball shape when I let it rise the second time and it was the perfect cobb loaf shape. I just added a pinch of salt as there was no salt amount?
Just bake this loaf, also baked in round cake tin, really great, will bake again and again
Makes for a beautiful cob loaf. I used an oiled round cake tin to keep it rising up instead of flattening out and made it perfectly round.
Just wondering about the reference to salt in the preparation, but amount not detailed in the ingredients.
Turned out nice. next time I will shape it different as it was a little flat
