  • 440 grams Self Raising Flour
  • 2 tablespoon castor sugar
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 60 grams Butter, cut into pieces
  • 320 grams buttermilk
  • 150 grams pepitas

Recipe's preparation

    Gma's Fluffy Pepita Scones
  1. 1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees (fanforced). Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. 2. Place self raising flour, sugar, salt and butter in to TM bowl.
  3. 5 seconds/speed 8 or until it resembles breadcrumbs.
  4. 3. Add buttermilk and combine 20 sec/speed 5, then knead dough 20 sec Dough mode"Dough mode"
  5. 4. Transfer dough onto a silicone bread mat or floured surface.
  6. 5. Work the dough until it comes together and roll out to about 3cm thick. Use a glass or round cookie cutter to cut out circles around 4cm and place on prepared trays. Repeating this until all dough as been used up.
  7. 6. Bake for approx 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. 7. Allow to cool on tray for 5 minutes before transferring onto a wire rack. Serve warm, or allow to cool completely before into a sealable container to store until ready to serve.
  9. TIP: You can add as many pepitas as you like.

Tip

TIP: you can also use a larger size cookie cutter if you would like but you may need to increase the cooking time.
